Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Genmotion (“we”, “us”) collects when you use genmotion.design, and how it's used. Genmotion turns a website URL or a short product description into a motion design video using AI.

Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and, if you choose to add one, a phone number used to verify you're a real person before unlocking free trials.

Content you provide. The URL you paste, any text you write in the brief, and your brand preferences (tone, audience, colors, music). If you submit a URL, we fetch the public page content, screenshots, colors, and fonts from that page to build your video.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to unlock your video (payment status, amount).

Usage data. Basic product analytics (pages visited, features used) and error reports, to fix bugs and understand what's useful.

Your brief and scraped site content are sent to third-party AI providers to produce the script, storyboard, voiceover, captions, and any AI-generated background video: Anthropic (Claude), used for the script/storyboard; OpenAI, used for voiceover synthesis and caption timing; and a video generation provider (accessed via an AI gateway) for per-scene background clips. These providers process your content solely to generate your video. We don't use it to train our own models.

Your finished video (and the free watermarked preview) is stored on our cloud storage (AWS S3) so it can be played back, downloaded once unlocked, or re-rendered.

We don't sell your data. We don't use your brief, brand content, or generated videos to train AI models. We don't share your content with anyone beyond the service providers listed above, which exist solely to run the product.

We use a session cookie (via Clerk) to keep you signed in. Where enabled, we also use a lightweight analytics cookie to understand product usage in aggregate. No third-party advertising cookies.

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated content at any time by emailing privacy@genmotion.design. If you're in the EU/UK, this includes the rights to access, correct, delete, and export your data under GDPR.

Genmotion isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
